By accessing or using SyllabAI ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SyllabAI provides an AI-powered tool that extracts dates and events from academic syllabi and exports them to calendar formats. The Service is offered on both a free and paid subscription basis.

3. User Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Free Trial and Subscriptions

Dean's List subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, your payment method will be charged $9/month. You may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid charges. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.

5. Free Plan Limits

Free plan users may upload up to 3 syllabi per calendar month. Uploads reset at the start of each month.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to: uploading malicious content, attempting to reverse-engineer the Service, or using the Service for any unlawful purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content are and will remain the exclusive property of SyllabAI. Files you upload remain your property and are used solely to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-extracted dates may contain errors. Always verify important academic dates against your official course materials.

9. Limitation of Liability

SyllabAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including missed deadlines resulting from AI extraction errors.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
